CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

Credit Types

Physicians
The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education for physicians.

This live activity for a maximum of 33.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physicists
This activity has been approved for a maximum of 33.92 medical physics continuing education credits (MPCEC) by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP).

Dosimetrists
This activity has been approved for 26 MDCB credits by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.

Nurses
This educational program is not approved for nurses' continuing education credits.

Therapists
The ASTRO educational program is not approved for Category A CE credits accepted by ARRT. However, the educational program of the ASRT Radiation Therapy Conference, held in conjunction with the ASTRO Annual Meeting, is approved for Category A credit accepted by ARRT.

Program Evaluation Process and Continuing Education Credits
All attendees are encouraged to complete the online evaluation. However, you must be a full-conference or one‐day only registrant to receive continuing education credit. To receive continuing education credits, you must evaluate each of the sessions you attended using the online evaluation no later than October 28, 2017.

Evaluation - Reminders

  • Attendees can log in and out of the evaluation system throughout the meeting, allowing you to save your progress as you go.
  • Attendees will be able to print or email their certificate after the session and general evaluations have been submitted. Certificates are only accessible via the Online Conference Planner.

How to Access the CE Evaluation and Claim Credits via ASTROmobile and the Online Conference Planner
You can obtain your continuing education credits through ASTROmobile or the OCP.

ASTROmobile

  • Download the official meeting app, ASTROmobile17, and log in with your ASTRO credentials.
  • Navigate to Program and find the session you want to evaluate.
  • Select the CE Evaluation icon.
  • Complete the session evaluation, and the session will be added to “My Schedule.”

Online Conference Planner

  • Visit the website at www.astro.org/conferenceplanner and log in with your ASTRO credentials.
  • Navigate to Program and find the session you want to evaluate.
  • Select the CE Evaluation icon.
  • Complete the session evaluation and the session will be added to “My Schedule.”
  • View/email/print your certificate. Certificates are available in the Online Conference Planner for up to three years after the meeting.

The evaluation option on both platforms will be available fifteen minutes after the start of the first scheduled session and will close 30 days post-meeting.

As always the Online Conference Planner can be accessed via the on‐site computer stations located in CE Central, in the Ballroom 6 Lobby, Upper Level at the San Diego Convention Center. Just visit one of the available stations, navigate to the Online Conference Planner and follow the instructions above.

Annual Meeting General Survey
Please remember to complete the Annual Meeting General Survey. Attendees requesting continuing education credits must complete the General Survey in order to print their certificate. Your responses will help us improve your future meeting experience.
